MENTOR

MyMentor is a proudly South African platform where professionals, experts, and creatives offer paid 1-on-1 virtual sessions — without subscriptions, content pressure, or admin headaches.

Create a beautifully curated profile, set your own rates and availability, and receive secure payments before every session. Bookings, calendar sync, video links, and reminders are all handled for you.

Consultants earn 100% of their session fee, with MyMentor adding a 30% platform fee on top to cover marketing, secure payments, and ongoing platform development. An annual admission fee of R2,500 applies to all consultants and supports hosting, marketing, platform maintenance, and mentor support.

To set up your profile on our booking platform, please complete the attached Mentor Consultant Signup Form and return it to us at your earliest convenience.

To ensure your profile looks professional and engaging, please include the following:

·  High-resolution images of yourself (these will be used on your profile and promotional materials).

·  A cover photo that best represents your mentoring style or area of expertise.

·  Please indicate which image you would like us to use as your hero/profile picture on your page.

 

Once we’ve received your completed form and images, we’ll finalise your profile and confirm once your page is live.

Terms & Conditions (Mentor)


1. Role & Appointment

By registering on the MyMentor.net.za platform (“the Platform”), operated by Room2Project (Pty) Ltd, you (“the Mentor”) agree to provide mentoring, coaching, consulting, or related professional services as an independent contractor. The Platform acts solely as an intermediary facilitating bookings, payments, and marketing exposure, and no employment or partnership relationship is created. You agree to conduct all services professionally, maintain accurate availability, attend scheduled sessions, communicate effectively, and comply with all applicable laws and professional standards.


2. Fees, Pricing & Payments

Mentors are required to pay an annual, non-refundable admission fee of R2,500, which covers onboarding, profile setup, platform access, and marketing exposure. Mentors set their own service fees and retain 100% of such fees, while the Platform charges clients an additional 30% service fee. Payments are processed via the Platform, and payouts to Mentors are made upon request after session completion, subject to submission of a valid invoice and accurate banking details.


3. Confidentiality & Intellectual Property

The Mentor agrees to maintain strict confidentiality of all client and Platform information. All intellectual property created by the Mentor remains their own; however, the Mentor grants the Platform a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use their name, image, and profile for promotional purposes. The Mentor further agrees not to solicit or transact with clients introduced via the Platform outside the Platform without prior written consent, both during the term of use and for 12 months thereafter.


4. Termination, Liability & Disputes

Either party may terminate participation with 30 days’ written notice, while the Platform reserves the right to terminate immediately in cases of breach, misconduct, or reputational risk. The Platform shall not be liable for any claims, disputes, or outcomes arising from Mentor-client interactions, and liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law. These Terms are governed by the laws of South Africa, and any disputes shall first be resolved amicably, failing which they will be referred to mediation and arbitration in Cape Town.
